Absolutely. Did you get buffered by the breezes yesterday?
Comment by Erik Zoha on May 24, 2011 at 12:02
We did yes, it was pretty extreme. 94mph gust of wind recorded by sensors at the - closed - Tay Road Bridge, many large trees uprooted along the dual carriageway Kingsway, trains cancelled, all pretty chaotic. 100mph + gust recorded at Glen Ogle, Stirlingshire, near the old railway line and viaduct.

Thought Inverness had it bad but I guess there was some exaggeration re the duration of the power cut, yes Dundee and Tayside bore the brunt of it, and Argyll as well I believe from BBC Scotland reports

Hello from facebook to PBS Anna.

the power cut was about 45 minutes in town, alot longer outside of town I believe, it was no worse than a winter storm just the trees got it bad because of the leaves.
