Just had a look at your photos, they   are stunning shots.

You caught nice shot of the heron which is not easy.

Hi Joy,

Thanks for your comment on my photos.

The heron just happened to be walking up Dollar burn fishing for his lunch one sunny day in April.

He didn't seem the least bit bothered bv his audience. The camera was a Fujipix F30. Simply point and shoot.

No zoom just used the editing that came with the camera.

I now have a Fujipix with 30x zoom, which gives me more scope.

There is  no shortage of places to wander near home, along the north bank of the Forth and in local nature reserves. I'm out there clicking away, mostly early morning when the light can be fantastic.

Fancy a trip along the foorpath one sunny day?

Yes, I can well understand how upset u feel at the current state of the Valleyfield woods.  It is so sad to see them like that.  It was so lovely to look afterwards at your photos and see how beautiful they could be :))

That would be fab to meet up some time :))  Is there a way to PM sb on here?

Cheers, M. :)
