About the Funders
Placebook Scotland
Placebook Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Natural Heritage. The project is supported by the members of the Scottish Landscape Forum, Learning and Teaching Scotland and Event Scotland.
The Scottish Landscape Forum
There are 22 public bodies and independent organisations on the Scottish Landscape Forum, but many more organisations contribute to its work. Its main work to date has been the preparation of a report to Scottish Ministers on the implications of the UK's recent signing of the European Landscape Convention, and advising on the landscape content of new planning policy guidance on the natural heritage.
The Forum want to ensure that everyone can enjoy good landscapes wherever they live, work or play, and that distinct and diverse landscapes will be maintained for future generations. The Forum exists to share information, encourage discussion and promote action for landscape's better care.
More information about the Forum's work can be found on the Scottish Natural Heritage web site.
