PlaceBook Scotland

PlaceBook Scotland: Capture your place in words, pictures, video and music.

I've just joined. I was given a camera for Christmas and think I'd better start using it! I live in the Dundee area, protected at the back by the Sidlaw Hills and by the salt sea air of the Tay estuary to the front. I enjoy clouds, extreme weather conditions and architecture in combination with nature and weather forces at work, you too?

Hi Cress,
I think the juxtaposition of man made and nature can make some of the most memorable places. Placebook isn't about the perfect picture it's about showing us the places that you feel make Scotland special for you. it could be a grand view or your local park, if it is important to you we want to hear about it.
Regards
Elli
Note - I even got my word of the day into this!!

juxtaposition by any chance?! thanks for your welcoming comment, I shall seek my soul and see what comes up
Welcome Cress. I'm sure you'll find this a friendly place to post your photos. Just get into the habit of carrying your camera everywhere. (If it's a pocket one that is!)
How did you guess ;-)

Hi Cress,
Like they say, just snap away. What you see catches your eye, take the pic.
Hi Cress,
welcome to the site, I supose this winter you have had a lot of bad weather, not that many of us got away with much better. I don't spend a lot of time here but try and get people interested in doing something for the site. I often think I am whistling in the wind. We will all be interested in new views and perspectives on various part of Scotland, so looking forward to anything you put in. Hope you enjoy your time here and find it entertaining and productive.

Indeed, welcome to PBS, good friendly place to share photos, videos, music, blogs, poems, short stories. Live in Dundee myself. Good city for taking photos Dundee, backdrops of the Law, Balgay Hill, Sidlaws, the bridges and Fife, Broughty Ferry, good sunrises and sunsets as well. Good to se the harbour area busier with the oil platforms in for re-fits. New waterfront and public buildings constructions, including new council HQ, lots going on.
